The Magpie Cakery Bakeshop is a cozy neighbourhood spot for house-made bakes and seriously good coffee, featuring Maggie’s favourite home recipes baked fresh from her own recipe book. Every visit supports our kitchen incubator and the local food businesses growing in our shared kitchen.
Bakes that feel like home, but better
We take classic, nostalgic treats and give them a little glow-up. Think banana bread that dreams are made of, browned butter Rice Krispies treats, chewy macarons, soft-baked cookies, tender muffins, Deep and Decadent cakes, and date squares that are better than your mom’s. (Yes, we said it.) We keep things fresh with seasonal bakes, so there’s always something new to try!

We proudly serve coffee by JAVA Coffee Roasters, roasted right here in Leslieville by a women-owned team who know their beans. It’s some of the best coffee we’ve ever tasted! - and we think you’ll agree.
More than just sweets
Need something savoury? We’ve got you. One of our Kitchen Incubator partners, Lorenzo of Cinque, makes Italian sandwiches and flatbreads right here in our kitchen that bring the taste of Tuscany to our shop.
Looking for a snack that’s not too sweet? Try our energy balls and buttery scones, perfect for a grab-and-go bite or a little something alongside your coffee.

Need a short term kitchen rental?
Hourly Kitchen Rentals
Need kitchen space for a day? Our hourly rentals are ideal for food entrepreneurs working on one-off orders or special events — and just as useful for home cooks prepping for a big family meal or doing some serious canning and preserving.
No business insurance required if for personal use.
Hourly rentals are $165 for a 4-hour pre-booked shift, with the option to extend (pending availability) at $40/hour.
Add overnight storage starting at $25 if you need to leave items on-site between shifts.
Includes full access to our commercial kitchen, tools, and equipment — everything you need to get the job done right.
