Membership Packs

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to grow, our flexible membership packs give you access to a professional kitchen, tools, equipment, and a supportive community of food entrepreneurs.

Packs include pre-purchased kitchen hours that you book as you need them, autonomous access via lockbox, and the ability to offer client pickups through our coffee shop. Storage may be added for an additional fee.

Each pack includes a generous use-by window so hours stay active and the kitchen stays available for everyone. Choose the pack that fits your current goals and grow from there.

16-hour packs are valid for 3 months. One complimentary 30-day extension is available if requested before expiry.

Need a short term kitchen rental?

Hourly Kitchen Rentals

Need kitchen space for a day? Our hourly rentals are ideal for food entrepreneurs working on one-off orders or special events — and just as useful for home cooks prepping for a big family meal or doing some serious canning and preserving.

No business insurance required for personal use.

Hourly rentals are $165 for a 4-hour pre-booked shift, with the option to extend (pending availability) at $40/hour.
Add overnight storage starting at $25 if you need to leave items on-site between shifts.

Includes full access to our commercial kitchen, tools, and equipment — everything you need to get the job done right.

Cancellation Policy for Short Term Rentals

Prior to the booked kitchen rental time, please notify us immediately if a cancellation is needed.

If cancelled 7 days or more before the rental date, you will receive a full refund minus an administration fee of $35 to cover costs of handling contract and refund.

If cancelled within 7 days before the rental date, the payment is forfeited. No refund will be issued. No rescheduling or credits for unused full or partial bookings.

In case of illness or force majeure, please contact us to discuss options.

In the unlikely event that The Magpie Cakery Incubator has to cancel the booked time you can opt for: a full refund or the ability to transfer to another booking.

The Magpie Incubator Kitchen offers:

  • Stainless steel prep tables

  • Commercial Convection ovens

  • Domestic electric ceramic top stove with oven

  • Domestic fridges with freezer compartments

  • Chest freezers

  • Two and 3-compartment sinks + handwash sink

  • Commercial sanitizing dishwasher

  • Dry and cold storage is available for an additional fee

  • Small appliances: Vitamix, microwave, food processor, induction hot plates, KitchenAid mixer, 20qt commercial mixer

  • Assorted pots, pans, trays, bowls, knives, cutting boards, dishware, glassware and cutlery

PLEASE NOTE: We do not have walk-in refrigeration, gas ovens or cooktops, flat-top griddle, fryers or a gas grill.

Renter Requirements

To activate your kitchen account, we require:

While using the kitchen, all renters agree to:

  • Remove personal equipment, products, and ingredients after each shift (overnight storage is available for an additional fee)

  • Supply their own disposables (tin foil, cling film, parchment, gloves, hair nets, aprons, and linens)

  • Clean and reset the kitchen after each shift following the closing checklist, including garbage removal and reporting or replacing any damaged items

Ready to get your commercial liability insurance?

Before you start using the kitchen, we’ll need proof of $2 million in commercial liability insurance with The Magpie Cakery Incubator listed as an additional insured.

What does “additional insured” mean?

It simply means your insurance policy also covers us (The Magpie Cakery Incubator) in case of any incidents while you’re using the space.

  • Yes, the kitchen can be rented for many different uses, including commercial food preparation, menu testing, tastings, and production.

  • The minimum is 4 hours at $165 + HST. Additional hours are $40/hour + HST

  • Our kitchen is open 24 hours, 7 days a week and rentals are subject to availability.

  • We require a copy of your current Food Handlers certificate and commercial renters must name The Magpie Incubator on their commercial liability insurance for the duration of the rental.

    Once we confirm that your desired date and time are available, we require a damage deposit of $300 to secure your spot. The damage deposit is refundable upon request and processed within 7 business days, once the kitchen has been inspected by the Kitchen Manager and is deemed clean and free of damaged items.

  • The facilities are not able to accommodate any deep frying and this type of equipment is not part of the kitchen rentals. Due to the nature of a shared kitchen we cannot guarantee our facilities are free of any food allergens. Nuts, wheat, dairy products may be used in the kitchen and all ingredients must be in sealed containers.

  • The kitchen has all the basic smallwares and cookware available for client use: Vitamix blender, microwave, food processor, induction hot plates, as well as a collection of pots, pans, trays, bowls, knives, cutting boards, etc. We also have dishware, glassware, and cutlery.

    You will find stainless steel tables, an electric stove with oven, domestic fridges with freezer compartments, chest freezers, convection ovens, 20qt commercial mixer, a two-compartment sink and sanitizing dishwasher.

    Clients will need to provide their own aprons, head covers, storage containers, saran wrap, parchment paper, kitchen towels, single use gloves and linens. Clients may also bring any unique items they need for their own specific use.

  • Yes! Dry, refrigerated and freezer storage is included while working in the kitchen under your reserved time. Overnight storage starts at $25 per night for short term rentals and can be added to longer term agreements.

  • While we can not accommodate a full ghost kitchen setup, if you would like to arrange for client pickups during your booked shift, please ask for details. Additional fees may apply.
